As Program Associate, Emily manages and supports key technical projects, including contributing to advancing the non-hormonal contraceptive MPT project, developing a business case resource for MPTs, and tracking field-wide investments. She joined CAMI in early 2019. Emily earned her Master of Public Health degree with a focus in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Washington in 2015. Her master’s thesis focused on evaluating a learning network aimed at supporting the implementation of breastfeeding friendly practices in participating Washington state hospitals. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health from the University of Washington. Emily has over five years of research experience, most recently as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Desmond Tutu HIV Centre in Cape Town, South Africa. Emily enjoys spending time with her family, running, and baking.

The IMPT is the first & only initiative dedicated to advancing the field of multipurpose prevention technologies (MPTs), products that combine HIV prevention, other STI prevention, and contraception.
