As Program Administrator, Nancy maintains the operating budget for the IMPT Secretariat. She also manages billing, contracts, and financial reporting for the program. Nancy joined the IMPT Secretariat in April 2016, after serving as a Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist at the Public Health Institute for over a decade. In that time, she managed a portfolio in excess of $18M and was the Grants and Contracts Specialist for the IMPT Secretariat for four years.
Outside of work Nancy serves on the board, as President, for Folklorico Aztlan De Sacramento; a non-profit performing arts program. This creative youth and adult outlet is dedicated to conserving and showcasing the beauty of Mexican folk dance and promoting public awareness and appreciation of the rich and diverse cultural heritage. In addition, Nancy is passionate about giving back to the community and helps coordinate an annual fundraiser for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Sacramento State University. This great educational program offers guidance and support services to students from migrant and seasonal farm worker backgrounds. Proceeds from the event are awarded as scholarships for incoming CAMP Freshman.
