Vanetta Thomas, MPH
As Research Associate, Vanetta provides research support to IMPT projects and leads the monitoring and evaluation of all activities. She joined the IMPT Secretariat in August 2015 after completing her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health. While at Rollins, Vanetta worked as a graduate research assistant for the Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group (RZHRG) where she assessed contraceptive usage among discordant couples. She also volunteered as a Health Educator with AFIYA, an intervention designed to educate and empower young African American women regarding their sexual health. Outside of work, Vanetta enjoys kickboxing and volunteering with her sorority.
